Macleans Observations

What does Macleans have against Dion? Other than Wells, I don't think Maclean's likes Dion very much. It took Dion winning the race before he made the cover...

The current front page story for the mag:

The cover sites betrayal, squablings and shady late-night backroom dealings as the reason for Dion's wild and startling win.

The current front page story on Macleans.ca:

The Race to Replace Dion. The search for the next Liberal leader.

The summation of the article on Canadian Polls:

35% of Quebecers say they will support the Liberals now that Stéphane Dion is in charge.

-Ok that's good. Probablly the most impressive statistics post convention. However, they following it up with the following two points:

28% of Canadians feel holiday shopping is bad for their mental health.

15% of Canadians would rather receive a root canal or be punched in the face than go shopping this holiday season.

Is it just me. Or does Macleans' seem to have a bug in their ass over Dion? If so, this would be in contrast to prevailing sentiment of the Canadian electorate.

Macleans to a pretty hard turn to the right when they replaced the head cheese with a staunch conservative a couple years ago.

The new look is a frigging eye sore too. If it wasn't for Wells, I don't know if I would ever read that magazine.
