The Final Countdown...
6 days to go, 5 more sleeps. Can't wait for the big day. Very excited. Little nervous about the day's event, not nervous at all about being married. Kat and I can't wait to start our life together.
So we are moving along, well into the stretch drive. Out-of-town friends and family will begin to arrive starting tomorrow. (Nancy!)
Kat and I have been running around finishing up all the last minute 'little' things that seem to take longer, and require more effort than the 'big' things that we took care of months ago. Hint - Seating charts are a pain.
Looks like the weather will be nice for Saturday, that said - this is Vancouver, so we won't be certain until the day of.
I'm still working this week, Kat's off, but she's effectivley stranded as her car is in the shop once again, (We have officially sworn never to buy American made vehicles again!). The bumper-to-bumper warranty ended on the stupid thing last November. It's now April, and this will be the 4th visit to Columbia Dodge in 4 months. Clearly, not impressed.
Point form Wedding Week Update:
- The online guestbook is disabled, as it kept getting spammed, (Cialis anyone?).
- No one seems to know how to get to the reception venue. (Go straight thru the round-a-bout)
- Running errands without a car is tough.
- Working the week before your wedding is stupid.
- Installing laminate flooring is much easier with a table saw and knee pads.
- New weird sensation: Feeling jovial and exhausted at the same time.
- Text weighted paper is different from normal paper, which is different from card stock paper, which is different from vellum, which is actually not paper but a type of plastic, and as such, can not go through a laser printer. All of these are are different from the cheap Staples white paper I have readily available.
- I need more toner and double sided tape.
Actually things are going quite fine, if they weren't I wouldn't have time to post a blog. The best piece of advice we have received of late, is to enjoy the day regardless of what happens and to truly relish the moment. We certainly plan to follow that advice.
