Pizza Parliment

The country has spent much time, money and effort to topple a minority government, only to elect a weaker minority government. There are no natural allies among the other federal parties with whom the Conservatives might form a coalition. As a result, I suspect, NOT much is going to get done in the House of Commons. It should be interesting to see if the Conservative government can last longer than the average duration of previous Canadian minority governments: 1 year, 5 months and 27 days.

I think federal Canadian politics over the next year will be less interesting in the House of Commons, and more interesting, will be the process of rebuilding the Liberal Party of Canada. I’m excited about the future of the Liberal Party of Canada, we can now get past the corruption of Jean Chretien’s reign. We get a new leader, a refreshing re-awakening. Michael Ignatieff or FrankMcKenna would do quite nicely, thank you very much.

The next majority government of Canada will be the Liberal Party of Canada.
